I'm gettin a Carvin DC747 and I wanted to know what is the difference between FT7 fixed bridge and a Licensed Floyd Tremolo? Which one is better? I need some help deciding which one to choose. Thanks

Thats the same series of guitar I was thinking about or the 747. I heard that they sound twangy like it would be used for country music. Is that true?

Also, trendkillah, is it easy to downtune or do custom tunings with that guitar without the stings getting out of whack or you having to retune after everytime you play it?

Also trendkillah, one more thing. On the options for the guitar, what does optional sapphire blue on quilt, optional quilted matching headstock, and optional coil splittin switches mean? Thanks man

Would you suggest getting the quilt or not?

HEY!! There's absolutely nothing wrong with Ibanezes, trendkillah. I have one, and, compared to Gibson Explorers and Flying V's, if I was spending the money, I'd prefer an Ibanez RG anyday. Personally, I like Ibanez. You get a great guitar, and it doesn't leave a crater in your wallet. But that's just my free advice, metalisbest. Take it or leave it.

I've got an elecric Ibanez Talman. It's a BEAUTIFUL guitar, and it plays like a dream. I put new pickups in it and it sounds great as well. I love the feel of the neck. They quit making them a while back. Mine's a '95. I bought it from a friend of mine for $350. This Ibanez rocks, and didn't cost me much at all. I like playing it more than my considerably more expensive Strat ($1000, with a built in Roland pickup for use with a synth). Quality over quantity... go and try out the guitars. Whichever feels and sounds best to you is what you want.
