My experience with crates hasn't been good, but I know I've seen other people who like them, around this site. Would go for something else, Fender or Marshall.

I had a crate... If you want an agressive.. you've got it.. But... on the other side, if you want a more versatile combo... you should choose Marshall.. It also haves a powerfull sound... and if you improve it with the right pedal... :D
I actualy have a Marshall Vs 102 (2 speakers) wich cost me 500€ four years ago...
Buy something with valves or vavelstate... crate has it..marshall too.. and with 2 speakers wich will give u a nice stereo sound..
And after I finish all of them, I will be the..... hummm... sorry, I didn't know you were there..

If you truly want that 80's hair band sound, take it from me... either buy a Marshall JCM 800 (Which is what most of us ran in those days, except for a few sissies who use boutique amps...) or go to Ebay and find a BBE sonic maximizer, ADA MP1, Alesis Multiverb, and of course Marshall tube power amp. Those are the 2 most popular 80's hairband setups.

So. If you throw a cat out of a car window, is it considered "kitty litter"?

I believe you can, in your own threads. Just go to thread tools.

My ADA MP-1 is great for 80's stuff. You can get more hair band tones than anything unless you change the tubes.
