Hi there!
Does anyone know if there is a computer programme available which can assign notes to each of the different letter keys of a computer keyboard? Being an avid guitarist and able to touch type I would be very interested in such possibilities!
If I couldn't laugh at myself how could I laugh at someone less ridiculous?

hmmm... i believe i had a midi programm that did that .. but other than that it was complete crap.. so why dont you just get a cheap midi-keyboard? youĀ“ll get good new ones for less than 200 bucks - they have 2 octaves and thats enough if you only use it for composition purposes, plus you also can ply dynamically on them.

Cheers, it's surely something to look into. I just suspected that if a dedicated programme had been assembled for this purpose with a computer keyboard it might even have some way of setting the keys for a particular key and help cut out the hassle of getting used to different fingerings. I do have a cheap keyboard (sadly not midi compatible I don't think). I guess I should just be more diligent in my training.
