Near as I can tell the MT-2 is almost the same thing as the GT-6 without the amp modeling.

I have a GT-6 and I just love the thing. I play through a PV Bandit 112 and the 6 gives me almost anything that I want - be it going thru the 112, headphones on the line-in on my boombox (great for recording backing guitar for myself) I have all the 'names' in sound that I want Marshall, Mesa, Fender, VOX - it's all there if you do a little homework and spend some time playing with the variables.

Yes, it takes a bit of getting used to but it's worth it - the thing is you have so much control over so many parameters that you need to figure out how to move around. Most of the presets suck, but some are a really good starting point for tweaking.

Not to mention the Manual function which allows you to essentially turn the 6 into a row of stomp boxes and turn on and off whatever you want or need.

I my opinion the 6 is far superior to the MT-2 - Best money I spent.
