is there a such thing as too good?
i am still a begginer and when i went to get my guitar my dad told me that he would buy it for me... i thought that was kick ass so i took em w/ me.....since he didnt want to buy something that wouldnt last very long he bought one of the most expensive guitars in the store. the g&l comanche.....6 string electric. cost 1,600 dollars but we got it for 1,300 dollars. should i have gone lower class to start out with... or am i just a lucky ass mother f###er with a rich daddy?

Nah you are probably better off getting a good guitar right from the start. If you would have gotten a crap ass one that you couldn't get set up right, you probably would have gotten frustrated and quit playing.
Of course if you get frustrated with that guitar, just send it to me.... OK?

So. If you throw a cat out of a car window, is it considered "kitty litter"?

I have a Gibson Les Paul Classic, Gibson Les Paul Special, Epiphone Les Paul (modified) and a BC Rich mockingbird.
They are my dream guitars, just need a les paul custom now and thats me!

Now that you have a sweet guitar, you dont have to worry about upgrading when you get better, like I'm worrying about right now.
That guitar will last you your entire life and still be totally awesome when your an old geezer.

i say that if ur gonna play guitar..dont start off with some 1000$ and up guitar but dont buy some cheap ass guitar either..the problem with buying an expensive guitar is that the majority of the poepl get one..like for a little..dont improve and give up and there went 1000 somthin dollars..im not saying ur gonna give up buts its happened

Man I'm not worried about upgrading any time soon, even though my only axe is an Ibanez RG270. It may not be the most beautiful guitar you've ever seen, but I love the sound. The dual humbuckers and single coil are great, and the Floyd Rose never gets out of tune. I hate to brag, but I had to say that. But like Josh Redstone said, you won't be left lusting after anything out there. So lucky you and take really good care of it. That's all I have to say.
"Thank God for the power chord!!!"
