Where do I find truly stainless strings?

I've tried Fender, D'Addario, Ernie Ball, GHS, everybody...

Only the wound bass strings are wound in stainless wire, while the unwound strings are plain steel. My hands sweat like a freak of nature, and I'm almost at the point of ordering stainless wire in the correct diameters and making my own strings.

Does anybody know who makes a full set of stainless, or if any company even does?

Thank you in advance for your help. Nice place you've got here, btw!

...and I thank you kindly for responding!

There has to be, however, some company that makes the stainless electric unwound strings. I may have to start my own!

I use ELIXIER strings exclusively! they never rust - they are coated with a goretex material

But he coulda been wrong.

That said, I went ahead and had some stainless wire overnighted to me in .009, .011, and .016. I restrung my Strat last eve, and I'll let you know how it works out.

It played fine after stretching the strings (as usual), but longevity will be the real test. It took a while to perfect a method of wrapping the ends around the little brass doodads from old strings, but I got it squared away.

Who knows, maybe I can quit my day job at last and make stainless strings for you guys ;).
