It is about the same for me. I am going about playing guitar pretty much on my own too. But the VAST majority of the stuff I learn is on CD at my house, and then I get tab for it. I also get tricks and exercises here, but some really good tab sites I use (these are pretty much the ONLY ones I use): olga.net, and guitaretab.com . That way, you can play to the CD and get the timing and stuff like that down perfect. That's all I do. Happy learning.
