Greetings;

I just bought a 1986 Guild F-512 12 string guitar. I want to put a pickup in (or on) it. I've been told that L.R. Baggs is the best and they even have a pickup (the LB12) that is specifically for 12-strings. I've also looked at Pickup the World and K&K Sound. Problem is I can find good things said about everything.

I'm not a tech. I need something that is hassle free and accurately reproduces what my guitar sounds like unplugged. I need to know if I get the Baggs pickup should I get the pre-amp and EQ with it. A Baggs outlet will sell me the whole system for $200....

I use a Peavey KB/A 100 AMP (keyboard acoustic amplification system). I love this thing and it is great for crowds of a couple hundred or less...larger crowds I just plug into the system...

Can someone tell me what I should get that will be the complete thing for my guitar? I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much for the time you've taken to read this post.

just because you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't there and just because you can doesn't mean it is.

I really get pissed off when someone posts a link to a song or a trick or anything coz the computers we use in college don't media hardware(soundcards and stuff),so I can't listen.It eats on my nerves.
Anyway,I'll probably try and go to a cyber cafe in town(Nairobi),where they have soundcards and speakers,and maybe get to listen to some of your stuff.
Nice site,btw.
I can't tell you much about pick-ups,but there's this site that I think you might want to check out.They got lots of stuff on lots of things,so chances are you might stumble around for a while,but it may end up being worth your while after all:

Yep.
If you have time,look up threads here titled "war","while the civilised world looked elsewhere" and "a moral dilemna" and get to see what people feel about this whole war 'liberation' stuff.

lighten up and just deal with my post...no one asked you to go to town on my signature...and get a decent computer setup. I'm not your problem. I'm looking for a pickup and a serious answer from someone...not some limk somewhere, don't you think I've scoured the net in this regard. I want some human contact. Referring me to other sections would have some merit if my post was about war or anything; my post is about a pickup. Sorry...sorry, (deep breath)..okay, I appreciate your intentions...if the hearing the songs matters, find a way. I ASSURE you you won't be disappointed. Sorry if I got gruff.
