What Should I Go To Now
Hello.. I play electric just starting out this saturday will be the 1st week "aniversary" with me and my guitar. I can play the basics like 3 or 4 Blink 182 songs and some like other patriotic songs. I am in 7th grade so not a lot of other kids play bass or drums so I was wondering what good songs have good solos in them so you can recognize them without the drums, bass, another electric ect.ect.

Nirvana is perfect for the beginning , but my advice is not to get stuck with them too much .
After you're familiar with their songs , power chords ,etc. try stuff like Metallica ,Pantera & Megadeth... They'll be hard at the beginning , so don't give up and always start with easier and slower stuff.

like sly said..dont get stuck with nirvana other wise your not gonna get to far with guitar.. when ur used to the neck... try some basic scales and then find songs that incorporate scales..another important thing to learn is chord progression..learn the basics first but use songs to keep you inspired to play

This is a really cool song and is easy to play so its great for beginners, Im not sure of the number of times to play each section so you'll have to listen to it for yourself, sorry. Have fun with it, and stick with the guitar man, it may be hard at first, but as time progresses it will not only get easier, but much more fun.

another song(s) that i remember are allot of the green day songs which basically nothing but power chords..try some of those or you could try yngwie malmsteen's overture 1338(i think) its a pretty basic song in the begining and the middle part of the song is nice and easy
