Look around some more & experiment with several different styles till you find one that works, then just buy a carton of em. The new ones I got are from a clothing store & they're like $10 for just a few of em. They're really thin & you have to struggle like hell to get it onto the neck but once there, it fits perfect. It's dark brown so it blends in with the wood color of the neck. It also dampens the strings just enough so that if you accidentally forget it's there and go to play an open chord you don't just get a dead chunk.
You just gotta keep practicing with it like any other guitar technique until it works.
