I want to replace the single coil neckpickup on my 2001 american strat with a humbucker, maybe a seymour duncan, not sure yet. Can anybody point me in the right direction as to how or where to get info on this.

I found a good site called http://www.projectguitar.com . On the main page goto the reference section. In there you can find liks for everything. I found one site http://www.stewmac.com and that's good for builders and repairs and such... also has guide books and videotapes on every step of building. Hope that helps out.

Dan Erlewine is the in-house repair guru at StewMac.

His "Guitar Players Repair Guide" is one of the books listed here on their website.

http://www.guitarelectronics.com/

This site has tons of useful diagrams.
