For me,a guitar is like an account statement;a lot of things are put in the body of the statement,but the only thing that matters at the end of the day is what appears in the bottom line,that is whether you made a profit or a loss.Similarly,a lot of stuff appears in the body of the guitar statement:the technique,the speed,the tiny accoutrements all guitarists encompass into their playing,the effects,the list is endless.But the bottomline,what matters at the end of the day(at least to me)(or at the end of the gig if you like)is whether or not you told your story.Communed with t he audience.Exorcised your demons.
