Straps
I've noticed a few people sayin that their straps fall off the guitar. I have this problem as well. Is there a trick to keepin the strap on or am I just a retart?

Strap lockers are extremely essential not to have your guitar damaged , I know couple of guys who broke their guitar necks cuz they didn't have strap lockers.
I wonder why aren't these thingis popular enough.

I've had a look on the net for some strap locks and I'm deffinately gunna invest in a few pairs.
Good point Jani, I too think there should be standard from factory, they aren't expensive at all and I can't see it making any difference to the price of guitars if they did come standard.
Thanks for the help.

I had that problem with my Les Paul and to fix it I just got some black rubber washers from Home Depot and put those on the strap buttons after the strap was on.
You have to make sure the washers will just barely fit on the strap button.
Holds great and only cost 13 cents each!

I've dropped my Dean a few times due to that, thank goodness I'm getting a new guitar, but man did I get pissed off when that happened or what. Thankfully its a sturdy guitar because if it was another guitar it would have already come apart.

We've probably had at least two or three discussions on this already, but I'll add my two cents again, anyways!
I bought some Dunlop straplocks a couple years ago. What you need to do is remove (unscrew) your old strap buttons and then install in the now empty hole a socket-type thing. It's a little scary if you have to drill (I don't like the thought of permanently altering the body of my guitar).
Anyways, your then attach another piece to both ends of your strap. This piece has a little knob on it that fits into the socket that you just put into the strap button holes. The knob and the socket click together, and no amount of pulling/jumping/spinning your guitar over your head by the strap will make it come undone, unless you first push the release button.

... and that's all I have to say about that.

I've been using those Dunlop Straploks since they first came out. (Dayum! That was near 20 years ago!) All my axes are equipped with 'em. If I want to change guitars between songs, I just pop the releases, leave the strap slung over my shoulder, and hook up the new axe. I've got seven guitars, but only four straps.
