Yes, 8th note is one 8th of a whole note ... You should take a look at some beginner rhythm division lessons , they're extremely important for a musician... You don't have to read standard notation for it , some tabs got that timing in them.

FR = Floyd Rose tremolo system , I was refering to the tremolo bar when I said FR ... My mistake , I should have said trem bar or whamy bar instead. :)
