Hi I am new to the forum, and just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I have been playing probably since some of you were still in diapers. Well over 20 years now. Man how time flies. I was in several hairband cover bands in the 80's, hence the name. I collect Kramer guitars, my favorite hairband guitar, and build my own guitars and cabinets also. I usually have a wealth of knowledge to share, and if I don't know something, I usually know where to go or who to ask to find out. If you have any questions for me, please feel free to ask away!

So. If you throw a cat out of a car window, is it considered "kitty litter"?

How the hell do they get that mega big hair man? What "equipment" do they use.

It´ll be fun to have it, but just for a while.

Just check out Nitros singer. His hair is amazing.

Aqua Net man...Cases and cases of Aquanet.
I think there were times I had to choose between eating and hairspray. Well...I couldn't very well have flat hair could I?

Right on! Someone here my age and from the 80's :-) Wow! Aquanet...have not heard of that in awhile...do they still make that?

I've been in a few 80's cover hair bands back in the day as well. Man those were some good times. You've got 3 years guitar playing on me. I've been playing over 17 years now and a graduate of G.I.T. (94/95) Roy Ashen was my fav. teacher.

Welcome to the forum bro! :-)
I started learning guitar because of Randy Rhoads..but Yngwie J. Malmsteen is my biggest influence.

Welcome!
I'm only 18, so I've not been in any hairbands in the 80's,
although I'm sort of in one now.
Well, I want us to be a hair-metal-band, but the other bandmembers
does not agree with me. I dont know why ;)
I was actually into hairbands in the 80's.
In 1987, when I was 3 years old, I heard Europe on the radio,
and after that I was hooked.
I bought (well my parents bought them, I did'nt have a job)
their every tape and I listened to them all day every day.
Later on I moved on to Metallica, then I started to listen
to all sorts of 60's/70's/90's rock, but somewhere in the
back of my head Joey Tempest called out to me, so
now I'm back in the 80's metal-zone, and I'm happier than ever!

did you leave the pink spandex and hairy chest behind? Another question, what are the techniques to "nipple riding" as oppose the popular low riding guitarist of today? :)
WWSD? What would stevie do?

LOL I never had the hairy chest, but I DO like to pull out the ol pink spandex every once in a while. As for "nipple riding" I could never play like that. I always slung it low.
