simplicity

hello,
i was going to began learning some music theory, but to my surprise i was lead into a spider web of info. i'am a fast learner and i absorb alot of information, howerver i'am a man of simplicity as well. i was hoping that i could get some recommendations on some websites or books that teach theory in its simplelist form.

The beauty of music theory is you get back what you put in to it. Learn only a small amount and itll still benefit you. Start thinking about the notes chords are made up off, and learn the major scale. Type "major scale guitar tab" on any search engine and you'l find the major is quite a straight forward thing to remember.
