Impedence, ohms, etc

Does anyone kno any good sites that go into detail about ohms an impedences, etc?

It's so easy to learn , first there are two main types of connecting impedences together , Parallel or series connection.

Parallel:
==========

If you have two impedences , join their starts and ends together so that they act as one impedence ... So that if you try to follow the current in the circuit , you'll find it splitting up from one and and comming back together from the other.
This decreases the value of the impedence, or increase the conductance (it's called admitance in this case to be more specific).

To calculate the net impedence use this formula:

1/Z = 1/Z1 + 1/Z2 + .... + 1/Zn (for 'n' number of impedence)


Series:
=======

Join the start of one impedence to the end of the other , so that if you tried to follow the current in those impedences you'll find them going from one to the other successively.
This increases the impedence.

Calculate the net impedence by simply summing the values:

Z = Z1 + Z2 + ... + Zn (for "n" number of impedence)

As for ohm rating, this number comes from the resistance that the windings around the voicecoil has. The longer the winding, the more resistance, the lower the impedance.
