One of my most embarrasing things to happen was sarcastically applauding our vocalist when he screwed up a song once...as I lifted my arms, my guitar strap gave way and my guitar went crashing to the stage. I picked it up, but the pickup had come out of it's holder and was sticking up and blocking the strings. I'd strum the strings and get nothing but noise.
Everybody in the audience was looking at me....my face turned beet red and I had to drive home and get my other guitar delaying our show by an hour.
