This is an early instrumental mix, but I'm curious to get some opinions on the drum track.
It's half looped and half live...
Is it too overpowering? Too repetitive? Too loud?
Any other suggestions appreciated.

I like it. It is unusual enough to catch the attention. I think the percussion is a little loud however I’m sometimes criticized for having the guitar up too high in the mix at the expense of everything else (i.e. Im very bias !!!). As far as being repetitive is concerned, well if you are planning to add vocals / more back line, well I wouldn’t worry about it as peoples attention will be diverted away from the drums etc !

Cool beans !

ok...sounds kewl.
The vocals are the main focus of the tune so hopefully the drums aren't too much.
Right now my ears just about start to bleed before the end of the song. I can't even listen to the whole thing...by the time the piano kicks in my brain can't handle it anymore.

Drums sound fine, I like the way they come thru in the mix. As long as the vocals stand out a little more than that, the mix sounds pretty cool. Rock on, Schmange.
