G String Ringing problems when sweeping
Does anyone else ever have a problem with the G string ringing when sweep picking. Everytime I sweep, the G string seems to always ring out while I play the rest of the notes. I don't have this problem on any other string but the G note rings throughout the sweep until that string is played again at whatever fret and recks the cleaness of the rest of the sweep. Anyone any tips on how to stop this problem in technique or anything else.

I think your problem is with muting , so how do you mute while sweeping ?
You could either use the fretting hand but it doesn't always work perfectly cuz of the harmonics (like in the 12th fret) , palm muting , or picking hand fingers muting.
Certainly you seem to lack muting on the g-string , so find a way that work for you to mute it and stick with it.
