Enjoy!
Hi; 66 myself.
Very happy to find older folk here.
Our fingers don't move as fast, nore does my brain.
What young people learn in a day, takes me weeks.
Hope to see you around on the forums.
BTW, What style of music do you hope to play?
Any songs you dream of playing to?
Electric or accustic?
Just curious.
Cheers
Oooh, how I love a 60-year-old rookie!
My favorite students are often older beginners. Frequently, the fact that they are learning to play at an older age means they have always had a love of music, and even a desire to make it themselves - and now they are finally getting to it! Bravo!
There is absolutely no such thing as being too old to get started. My father started to play at the age of 78, and now at 87, he still plays every day and says it has absolutley changed his life in profound ways. He experiences joy, curiosity, discovery, and the magic of making music every day of his life.
So, 60 is YOUNG! Have a great time - Lisa

Inspiring post Lisa! The thing I love most about GT are the incredibly positive and encouraging instructors like you and Anders. And yes, I picked the guitar back up at 60 and at 63 after 3 years of practice I am learning and playing things I dreamed about being able to do when I started. A wonderful journey that continues to bring joy on a daily basis. Thank you for all you do!
Long Live Rock!
Hi! I'm nearly 53, and really just started practicing guitar in earnest a little over a month ago (after decades of procrastination). I'm still very much an amateur, but I do enjoy practicing every day. Hope you have fun with it as well!
