Guitar Picks

I am having a hard time trying to chose a pick and what gauge. What does everyone use? 

I use the Dava grip picks https://www.davapick.com/griptips .

A number of lead player I know use these tiny, very hard picks. My fingers are so big that I have trouble keeping ahold of them.  The Dava grips are easy to hold - no slipping. Also, you can get a different feel depending on how close you grip the pick to the tip. Choke up on the tip and you get a firm, tight response, grip a bit further back and you get a bit more flex.

Guitar type, genre & style?

The Dunlop Nylon Jazz III 1.38mm and Dunlop Ultex Jazz III 2.0mm are my go to standards after trying many. 

I use medium picks. Either Fender Medium or Dunlop Tortex .60 (orange) or .73 (yellow). 

Tortex .73 for everything if its an electric guitar i find them the best out of all the picks i've tried.

If its acoustic i generally use my fingers or dunlop nylon .88

I use jazz iii xl's for electric, mediums for acoustic. Currently I'm using fender mediums. 

We can answer what picks we use.  But what good does that do you?  Do all of us that answer play the same music, the same genre and the same playing style as you?  

but to answer, I like V-Picks.  When I want nasty overdriven tone I go for his Screamer.   When playing rhythm, or at least a little more mellow, his Tradition Lite.  And other times his Large Pointed Ultra Lite.  And other times, who knows?  I'm guessing I have 10 different models of his.  They are such fun😃
