I have recently bought a Fender Player Series Strat, and it actually goes head to head with a '97 American Standard I used to have, playability and sound wise, and quality wise.  These are sleepers......I am extremely impressed with what is coming out of Ensenada.  Anybody else have input about these guitars?

I purchased a player series Acoustonic just today. It's a great guitar and while "made in the US" would be nice to have on the head stock, the price variance is hard to pass up.

This year the diet is definitely gonna stick!

I've read nothing but good things about the MIM fenders. You can't beat the value for the money compared to the US versions.

William congrats on the acoustasonic.
keep it warm. -37 with wind chill here this morning in New Hampshire. I can't even imagine Canada temps up your way. Enjoy.

Thanks Moe. I think we were about the same as you folks. It hit -20F without the windchill but luckily it's not going to last long.

I had a Player Strat-it was an awesome guitar. The fit and finish was superb-better made than the genuine Les Paul Studio I use now. I just prefer the p-ups on Pauls and the simplicity.  If you're looking for pure asthetics, you can't go wrong with a P strat, IMO.
