Hey guys, I've heard of the ibanez 'Prestige' I think it is, and it's got a floyd rose bridge with a piezo bridge pickup. How does that work? Where is the piezo located on a floyd rose bridge? I want a really nice clean sound in my floyd rose Jackson DKMG. So, hypothetically speaking, would it be possible to install the piezo on the jackson's bridge? Would I have to buy a whole new bridge? or what?

Thanks for listening.

I haven't seen the Prestige rig, but usually a piezo bridge has the transducers in the string saddles. The saddles are the adjustable parts that the strings rest on. I doubt that Ibanez would go to the trouble (and expense) of designing a trem-bridge from scratch, so I would expect the saddles to be interchangeable with their other FR bridges. At StewMac, they have a Strat bridge replacement by L. R. Baggs. I'm guessing the Ibanez FR type has the same sort of thing happening. The sound is likely to be a bit 'twangy', because the transducer is built into the bridge.
