Welcome Waine. You are very similar in age to myself when I started in Oct '19. I was 56.

Go through the Fundamentals,  practice everyday. Be patient.  Some lessons come quickly,  some don't and take repeat after repeat...

There is more that I could offer, but for now get through GF1 and 2 and take whatever time is needed.

Best of luck!

This year the diet is definitely gonna stick!

You are not alone. I started when I was around 60. I just had knee replacement surgery and needed something to occupy my hands and mind. The acoustic 1 is a great place to begin your journey whether you have an acoustic or electric. Extra light strings and patience is all you need. Welcome and good luck!
