I'm sorry to hear that your guitar has been damaged. That can feel like seeing a good friend get hurt.

As SLY has pointed out, it depends on what kind of finish your guitar has. Take it to a guitar tech and hear what they say about it. It may be that you will need the services of a luthier (someone who makes guitars). Applying the finish to a guitar is one of the trickiest parts of the whole manufacturing process.
