The major and minor scales in the open positions follow on quite quickly

The A minor or C Major pentatonic is usually the scale given by many as a first scale to learn. They are one and the same

You will find scales in the toolbox on the main page and find how easy it is to be overwhelmed by scales ,positions, shapes etc

Just following along in Fund 1 & 2 at the pace the lessons set allows you to learn without being overwhelmed like that

You will often hear Go Slow to Learn Faster

Good Luck ,  starting off is always the first obstacle

Dave - Thank you very much for your reply.  This is going to greatly help with my learning and being able to play several songs correctly.

Have a great day,
