I was at a show once, with teenage bands, and all the groups (20-25) had a Gibson Les Paul, except for one band. The guy had the Gibson double neck. But what does that tell you about people writing their "own" music. They all use the same guitar, and quite honestly I couldn't tell much difference between each band, everything sounded the same. I think the reason they all have the Les Paul is because they think its "thee" guitar to have and to be successful you "neeeed" it. Definetly not true.
