It's good to be back!

I started playing guitar in July of 2020 and became a full access member of Guitar Tricks for my first year of playing. I have since learned how to play ukulele and I have also been learning how to play piano. But the guitar is my first "true love" and the one I enjoy playing the most.

I have jumped into Guitar Fundamentals 2 with Anders. I think that's a good starting point for me. I last left off with finishing Guitar Fundamentals 1 and had also dabbled in some of the Acoustic lessons.

While I love the song selection on GT, I find everything but the easy and made easy songs really difficult for me. Maybe it will go a little better once I get my skills up.

I'm looking forward to improving my skills, especially fingerpicking. I do really well with the strumming but fingerpicking has been a struggle.

I play a Breedlove Organic Signature Companion Acoustic/Electric - Copper Torrefied European Spruce/African Mahogany. I absolutely love it! I have my favorite strings on it, too. The D'addario 1152 Nickel Bronze.

Looking forward to meeting old and new friends here.

Quite the multi-tasker. Very impressive!

dtto on the "welcome back" choir. I was just wondering if you were ever going to return. Glad to see you are still enjoying the making of noise with musical instruments.

I remember you Susan. I took a break myself for a short time when I chose to allocate some time to another activity. Time is so short...

Best of luck with your progress.

This year the diet is definitely gonna stick!

Thank you! It's good to see you all on here still!

I am really loving Guitar Fundamentals 2. I'm looking forward to writing more songs with the new skills and techniques I'm learning. (I have been writing songs for ukulele and guitar about my ulcerative colitis journey and surgery to remove my colon a few weeks ago. They are rather humorous!)

I'm glad you have a sense of humour about the surgery; it doesn't take much to tickle me. I'd probably be in hysterics by the end.

You mentioned you play at least 3 instruments (still very impressive). I'm contemplating taking up the violin after years of playing guitar. I'm into folk and Celtic traditional melodies, but I'm wondering if I'm out of my league by even trying. But still there's always hope.

Have a great week!

P.S I have a fancy Fender Mandolin that I bought on a whim years ago, but I might trade it in for a dreamy violin I've seen.
