Tonight I'll be going over 'A form' barre chords on GuitarTricks.com's Facebook page at 5:00pm (PST), plus going over last weeks 'E form' barre chords.

nowhere near good barre chords all up the neck yet.

Always lots of interesting chat in your lessons.

When you do mixing A and E shape progressions next week will you be covering when you only use the parts of barre chords .

so the barre finger might only need to cover the lowest or highest strings

Then there are chord shapes within the barre shapes.

or is that a theme for a 4th lesson

Cheers

Dave,

That's a great question and cool variation on the 'barre chord'. In case I forget to bring it up, can you ask this question in the live Facebook class this Thursday. The other students will be interested to go over this too.

See you Thursday!!

I made a note and will bring up how the three lowest notes (strings) in a barre chord are also an alternate way to play power chords. Thanks for bringing this up.
