I'm with Will, get a variety pack and try them out. I use gray Dunlop grippy .88's. I can't really get with a super-floppy pick. However, for a very long time, I was a Dunlop Jazz III, which are small and pointy. It was a legacy from my more shreddy days. I actually had to reteach myelf to us a bigger, less ridged pick. I sill grab a Jazz III once in a while but mostly I'm using the full sized 'normal' picks.
But, you just gotta test them until you find it. Sometimes it changes too.
I do prefer the grippy picks though. I'm a heavier strummer/picker so picks tend to go flyer if they are smooth.
