I recently added a used Yamaha RBX 350 four-string bass to my collection of 6-string guitars. It's so nice to be able to lay down a bass track instead of trying to describe what I want! I tried using an octave pedal, but that got kinda bizarre.

Octavers aint' the same, whatever happened to slap bass? I have a bass too cause I love slap and bobble sounds.
If I couldn't laugh at myself how could I laugh at someone less ridiculous?

I was referring to a thread here, on Guitar Tricks. It started out as one man's angst about the possibility of getting sent into combat. The discussion got political in a hurry. My bad... I sometimes waste a lot of effort trying to convice people who refuse to beleive.
