Im not sure if this is the place to ask this but any whoo...
Im having trouble figuring out how to go into my solo's. I hear bands do it, and they do it so well. I have been playing for 5 years so im not that much of a begginer but it just kills me because going into the solo is hard coming out is easy (does that sound dirty?). I just need help give me some suggestion.

What kind of solos do you mean , worked out or imrovised?

Usualy for improvised stuff, you may need some theoretical knowledge of scales & stuff...
For worked out solos I got nothing to say , theory will help but it's more about creativity ... Anyway, you can try some improvising then clean it out to be a nice worked out solo.

Our you can create it in your head and than record the humming on the tape and figure out the notes on the guitar. Of course it usualy ends with 50% new stuff but thatĀ“s just cool. Let the creativity take over man.

usually when im trying to put a solo into a song I'll have the other guitar just going alone for a second or something and then slide into it or just come in with the solo. I think it helps to have the other instruments go alone for a sec. But just make sure it flows and your happy with it. Thats what it is all about, be creative and have fun with it!
