I've been playing for many years and I think back to a teacher I had years back. I asked him what I needed to do to become really rockin and rollin. He said first thing, quit yer job. I realized he was talking about a commitment I wasn't willing to follow through with. It made me respect the guitar that much more because we'll be growing and learning our whole lives and still have more to learn. It's one of the few things in life where there's no real destination.
