Effects Pedals

Anyone have an opinion on the Digitech RP200 versus the Korg AX1000g. I just want a lot of sounds, more for my own entertainment & exploration.

Also, just bought a 92 Fender fat strat squier [haven't rec'd it yet, any thoughts [I like to play blues stuff].

I will recommend you Digitech Rp 200..than Korg
since you wanted a more variety of sounds. I have tried Digitech..it was fantastic.Suits blues player like ya.

How much aare you looking to spend? Personally I tried the Digitech stuff and was none to impressed - not only were the sounds flat and unexciting, but I felt the construction was less than standard for similar type equipment. After some thought and research I ended up with a Boss GT6 - and I've never been happier, it's takes some getting used to (you have so much control over so many parameters) but in the end, from what I've used and seen it's the best bang for the buck @ $400.

Thanks for the input. I was trying to keep it under $200, but I don't want to settle for something I won't be happy with. I made a note of your suggestion & will check it out.

What´s better to have. Single pedals our a multieffect. Of course if you like lots effect multi is the thing but if you are just lookin´ for regular sound (nice dist, good chorus, fine and right sound wah wah and right sound delay? Maby some flanger too and perhaps a harmonizer.

To be completely honest, everyone that comes through here can argue this or that - multi vs. single - tube vs. solid state and all that other schmootz, what it's really going to come down to in the end is "what do YOU want YOUR sound to be like? - and what kind of flexibility do YOU want to have with YOUR rig?"

Take YOUR guitar to the store run the items you're interested in through YOUR setup, tweak the settings to YOUR liking and go the direction that YOU are most comfortable with.

It doesn't matter if you end up with Brand X Super Effects Box or you run your ride through an toaster oven - if that's the sound you're after, more power to you.

Think of all the things that you want and need and measure that up to what you don't want - then start your research from there. It doesn't matter how good something is if it can't give you the tone you're searching for. Good Luck.
