Mike, Hi!

I occasionally come across a song not found here on GT but from a lost vault of songs that attracts my fascination and imagination, this one by the 60's Chocolate Watch Band, "I'm Not Like Everybody Else". I came across this tune on YouTube and trying to figure out the very unique guitar amp/EQ settings on this very simple but beautifully arranged & powerful song. Do you have any idea on a possible amp/pedal/effects the guitarist may be using?? Also it appears strumming or rhythm are most simple chord strumming accompanied with arpeggio?

[br]This reminds me of tunes played many many years ago in city neighborhood garage bands, I appreciate any feedback and included a few attachments of song samples. I'm now using IK Multimedia AmpliTube 5.0 software on my pc with many available amp modeling, pedal & cabinet options. Thank you Tony!

Hey Tony - nice find! To my ear, a Fender Twin style amp would do the trick with lots of spring reverb. Try to crank the amp up to get a bit of edge on the sound. Emphasize the mids and treble eq so the guitar cuts through. Hopefully that gets you in the ballpark!

I think you've got the approach correct - mostly strumming with just a hint of chord arpeggiation before each chord change.

Have fun with it!

Hey Mike, thanks for your input and will work on those EQ's and select a Fender Modeling amp and spring reverb with my AmpliTube software. Appreciate the feedback, have a great weekend!
