THis may be a silly question but I have a problem I think the JMP-1 might help with. I play guitar in a 4 piece band and I need to have easy access to different sounds. With only 2 feet there is a limit to the number of pedals you can use and I've tried a few multi effects units and been less than impressed.

I think the Marshall JMP-1 would be a solution, it provides a vast number of patches but more importantly has 4 distinct channels. However, I already use a Marshall amp and 4x12 and what I am not sure is can I put the JMP-1 into this or do I need to go and buy a stereo power amp as well? Anybody used a JMP-1 with a normal amp? Mine is an AVT50 head so it's single channel.

Cheers man.

So if I read you right, and you'd think I would know this after playing guitar for 20 years or so, I plug the JMP-1 into the 'Return' on the AVT50H and that cuts out the pre-amp valve in the head. Should I then use my effects through the JMP-1 effects loop or as I do at the moment in-line from the guitar into the JMP-1? Does thi also mean I could use the input on the front of the amp as well?

Alos the JMP-1 is stereo, can I take a feed from the other output to a standard input on a second amp?

Cheers.
