Hello,

Im Richard from Amsterdam, 35 years old and playing guitar on and off for about 30 years now. (more off than on if you know what i mean)

In these 30 years i owned six guitars and each time i sold one, i regretted it later on so now i came to my sixth purchase and this time im determined to "get good" in playing guitar (hence my username).

You'd think that in 30 years time im pro at playing guitar but i have a BAD case of repetitive solo'ing and noodling around.

I can play various famous solo's flawlessly since i repeated them 1000's of times and im pretty decent in blues improv but im severely lacking in the theoretical aspect of guitar playing.

I desperately need to learn new things and youtube vids just don't do it for me, i need structure and a learning "route" if you will.

Thought the best way to go about this was to just begin from scratch and now im doing the guitar fundamentals 1 with Lisa McCormick (excellent teacher btw).

Allthough im not "challenged" yet, im not affraid to admit that im allready learning things in this absolute beginner course.

Can't wait to get to the point where it gets challenging and judging by my poor knowledge of guitar theory that point will hit soon.

I hope everybody out there learning will one day be happy with their level of guitar mastery.

I know i am definitely not happy with mine at the moment (especially not after 30 years) but that's why we're here, right...?

Allthough i can't help but to think i should've started sooner with giving it a serious shot, im happy i did now.

Strum on!
