One chili recipe comin up...

Guitar Tricks Chili

1 1/2 lb Lean Ground Beef
1/2 Large Red Onion
1/2 Large White Onion
1 medium cooking onion
2 cloves garlic
28 oz can tomatoes, crushed
1 small can tomato paste
19oz can Kidney Beans
1/2 Green Pepper
1/2 Red Pepper
4 Large Mushrooms, chopped
2 Stalks Celery, chopped
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 cup water

SEASONINGS (TO TASTE)
1 tblsp Chili Powder & 1 tsp each of Tumeric, Cayenne Pepper, Italian Seasoning, dried hot
chilies
(You can also use a package of Chili Mix for added flavour)
1/2 bottle Tabasco Sauce
Freshly ground black pepper.

Put the Ground Beef into a frying pan on medium and cook until brown.
Add the Tomatoes, Kidney Beans, Tomato Sauce and spices to a crock pot on low heat.
While the beef is browning & while the crock pot is starting to heat, chop the onions and
vegetables into various sized pieces, keeping the different veggies separate.
When the beef is browned , crumble, then add it to the crock pot and stir.
Put chopped onions & crushed garlic into frying pan on low heat and cook until translucent.

While onions are cooking, add Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce to crock pot mixture.
When onions are cooked, add to crock pot along with all the remaining vegetables EXCEPT
the celery.
Stir the mixture in the crock pot thoroughly, crush the tomatoes up and crush some of the
beans against the side of the pot.
Let simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Be careful not to let the bottom
burn. Add more liquid (water/wine/beer) if it's too thick.
Add the celery and cook for another 30 minutes on low heat.
To serve, put in oven proof bowl and top with grated cheddar & Mozzarella cheese &
freshly ground black pepper. Put in oven and broil until cheese is melted.
Top with sour cream and a sprinkle of dried mint.
Serve with Guitar Tricks bread or crusty rolls

Guitar Tricks Bread

10 oz Pizza Dough
2 tblsp butter
1 tsp garlic salt
Fresh Parmesan cheese

1) Preheat oven to 425 deg f
2) Unroll dough on cutting board. Position it lengthwise (longer from left to right than from
top to bottom) With a sharp knife, cut the dough in half down the middle. Then cut each of
those halves vertically in half, and then in half once more so you have 8 even strips of
dough.
3) Being careful not to stretch the dough, place each strip on a lightly greased cookie
sheet and bake for 6-8 mins, or until the top just turns golden brown.
4) While the dough bakes, melt the butter then add the garlic salt and stir until it dissolves.

5) Remove the browned dough from the oven and with a pastry brush or spoon spread a
coating of garlic butter over each piece.
6) Sprinkle lots of Parmesan, Mozzarella or Cheddar cheese on top

Makes 8 pieces
