Favorite string? (Not strings, string)

I'm just dropping in to do an informal survey on whether anyone besides me has a favorite and least favorite string?

Not a brand of strings, but an actual string on the guitar. I am partial to the A string and have a hard time cozying up to the low E string.

I'm curious as to whether anyone else has preferences.

I Love the low E string! It is the easiest peddle tone to play with and I have to work to play in keys that don't have that low E as their root. As a friend of mine put it... "It is the Peoples Key".

I also get how A has both the 4 and 5 tones on either side, making it also very useful... especially for Travis Style finger picking.

My preference is nowhere near so well thought-out. Strictly a gut reaction! But as you know that's how I write anyway.. I do not think about such things... Lol

It has to be the G, simply because the child in me is amused by instructor's comments like "you may find reaching the G-string difficult at first".

Serious answer is: favourite string is a wound third on Gretsch G5420T; least favourite is unwound 3rd on my Tele

I vote G. Most susceptible to tuning issues and I always root for the underdog.

I like bending the B string at the 8, 10, 11, 13, 16....or hammering and pull off

I guess it's because I have been playing guitar for over 40 plus years that I can't remember if I ever had a favorite string?....I love them all and play them all equally....lol
