I am learning on a folk size Tanglewood acoustic and I am considering buying a new guitar a couple of quality steps up.

It is a Faith parlour size guitar which is with short scale and the fingerboard joins at the 12th fret.

I know Faith aren't a well known brand in the U.S. but what are peoples experiences with both short scale and 12fret guitars

This sounds like a super interesting converstion. I don't have personal experience with 12 fret guitars, but maybe someone else in the Forum does!

Taken the plunge, Faith Naked Mercury, parlour short scale 12 fret

Pro's easier to reach. less tension on strings , 12-53 D'Addario

solid wood guitar, Spruce top

I have 10's and 11's if I want to play around

good price with gig bag

using Tanglewood as a trade in

Cons

accessibility beyong 12 fret

Let's see what trade in offer is.

If low offer I'll keep it, is that a pro or a con
