Hi everyone,

I'm originally from South Africa and started playing the guitar approx 50 years ago. I retired at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020 and finally pulled my 45 year old Fender acoustic out of the basement a few weeks ago. [br]As my (self-taught) guitar playing is very rusty, I started off from scratch with the fundamentals tutorial. [br]Thanks Lisa for a great re-introduction to an old passion that I had almost forgotten. The structure and method of your tutorials are exactly what I need to regain (and expand) my guitar playing skills. It's great fun and now very much part of my daily routine.

Best regards from Germany,

Fred

Fred, good luck in your "re-introduction to an old passion". There are a lot of us on here that have done exactly this in retirement.

Please keep us posted on your progress.

Welcome, Fred! Wow, a 45-year old Fender acoustic... how's the guitar holding up after being in storage that long?

The guitar is in great shape, probably because it has been safely tucked away in a soft case for the last 30 odd years. After donning it with new strings it's as good as new.

A lovely instrument...
