I'm 21 and about to start my guitar journey (FINALLY) I've been saving for a 70s Squier CV and a Mustang LT25.. Is this a good idea? Generally, speaking at least? I love a lot clean tones and I'm looking for it to last a bit hence I did these choices... Also for Cables, I don't know what to order in terms of quality without breaking the bank.

Those sound like great pieces of gear! As far as cables go, you can't go wrong with the basic instrument cables you can pick up at your local insturment shop.
