Thought I would share for the beginers. I'm 52 and just picked up a guitar a month ago. At first learning some of the cords (A,am,D,E,em,C,G) I thought were impossible (I cant get my fingers to do that) (specifcaly the A,C & G). After putting in practice every day, I'm able to play most of the chords clean. Still working on G and C but getting there.

So today I decided I'm going to practice to switch between a,d,e chords without looking.

To my suprise I was able to get the chords correct probably 75% of the time (again didnt think this was possible a week ago).

I guess I'm giving myself a pat on the back, but what I have learned to this point is that you have to embrace the small wins and build upon them.

As many people have said on this site its a marathon not a sprint.

You will improve with practice and patience.

Bottom line keep at it. You will get there. Embrace the wins no matter how small and enjoy the journey.
