I'd say it's a good idea to practice for a bit even if you think you nailed it down.[br][br]But it's also a good thing to move on. If you think that you can repeat the exercise a few times in a row without major mistakes then it's time to move on.[br][br]You can also add the short exercises as a warm up practice before each new practicing lesson, that way you make sure that you remember and still got it before moving on to your next lesson.[br][br]Wanting to play everything perfectly before moving is as bad as moving on too quickly because you never progress.[br][br]Those fundamentals lessons are what they are, fundamentals. So even if you have a couple spots where it's not perfect, remember that those are skills that you are going to practice throughout you whole musical journey.[br]Let's say that you know the chord and can transition between them but that transition is not as smooth as you'd like, then you should still move on in my opinion because if you don't, you might get stuck here for a long time and end up being discouraged.[br][br]As a beginner, you are going to make mistakes, that's inevitable.[br]It's like if you were trying to learn how to draw, you are not going to practice your first drawing until it's a masterpiece before moving to your next one.[br][br]It's a good thing to remember when learning anything really, don't wait for perfection before moving on or you will never learn anything.
