whoa! a female! we get so few.

anyway, as far as a band, i don't think any of us are near you. but as for what you can do, it may be good to take out an ad (that's how Hetfield and Ulrich met) or put up a sign in the music store. but just keep posting you're name and searching the web. i don't know or any sites per say, but sooner or later you'll find people.
To improve technique and of course trying to keep all as clean as possible. I know my own limits and speed limits and so on I never play anything I'm not capable of. That wouldn't make any sense. After three years of playing I tried to play everything as fast as possible and that sounded, I would say, like shit, and I didn't realize that if I'd play bit slower things than I was capable of playing then everything would sound much better.

You play 5 instruments and you need help getting into a band? No, you just need to put an ad in the newspaper, let people know who you are and what you do. I lived in Spring Lake for 4 years, next to the guys who were in a band called "Steel Rain", another friend of mine started a band there in Fayetteville in 1991, he put an ad in the local paper and had people auditioning for days, I was down there a few years ago on vacation and was knocked out by how much that area has grown since '92', put an ad in the paper and be specific about what kind of band you want to be in/start and I'm sure you'll get plenty of response. have fun......

Hi,
If you have a guitar center near you (or any music store),
You can hang out there and watch people play and ask around.

That seems to work pretty well.

I have the same dificulty trying to find people to form a band with. Playing along with cds, the computer, etc. or just jamming with whoever. Having a few people to teach music to helps.
