I came to GT much the same way. I have been here for several years and I still find the site very useful. My skill level has increased as a result. I also enjoy the forum, as it is another way for me to think about music. You should be able for find fertile ground to nurture your gowth as a musician. And the good news is that you probably don't have to spend months learning how to play a Barr Chord.
