Im am a beginner guitar player. Over a month into playing I have started to fill stiffness in my left hand and I cant move my left hands fingers as easily as my right hands fingers. Is this normal? Should I be worried? What should I do? I stopped playing guitar for five days and my fingers still fill the same. Help please.

Hi,
When I first started playing guitar about two months ago I was told to be careful about over practising. Mainly because of damage to my finger tips before they built up a resistance in the form of calluses but also wrist and finger pain due to tendonitis.
If I were you I'd see a doctor to be on the safe side as it is not normal to have this stiffness particularly after resting for several days.
How often and for how long were you practising?
Most of the time I'd just play for 5 or 10 minutes and take a break but may do this a few times per day.
