Old Dog new tricks... Hopefully.

Pulled the trigger and bought an acoustic. Tried a different guitar education platform and wasn't getting what I personally wanted. Was reading some reviews on guitar tricks and saw a comment where someone complained about how it's slow and goes into theory and teaches reading sheet ect.. When I read that I was amazed that was a complaint. That is what I was looking for, at the tail-end of the fundamentals course and enjoying it.

In my 40's and figured it was about time to stop just listening to music and time to learn how to play it.

Only time will tell where this journey takes me.

You'll find Guitar tricks can offer you whatever level of instruction you want to get into. You can go deep into theory or go straight into playing some songs. Look for the "Made Easy" ones for now. Were all kind of our own coaches so go at your own pace, not someone elses, but when you get into trouble were all here for encouragement and the instructors will answer any question you have.

Enjoy your journey, and by the way at 40's your just a young pup in this site. We've got plenty of men and women in their fifties, including myself, 60's and even a few dogs in theirs 70's and 80's last I heard so your in good company.
