If you continue through the lessons, the instructor will break down the hybrid picking techniques in the various sections of the song.

Thanks for the reply l, I appreciate you taking the time to help. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get your link to open. I watched through the instructional video and he goes slow, but I can't tell what fingers he is using to pick the strings. I was hoping for more specifics on this part. If it's a pattern or just what feels right for each player. I think I might be making this harder than it needs to be, but I'm stuck getting this to play smoothly.
